The 2009-2010 Student Council Members are Justin Rushing, Meloanie Brecheen, Angela Cruse, Aaron Delluchi, Lail Cothren, Tori Coley, Benzi Badon, Ashley Felder, Michael Hood, and Bailey Reeves. Some of the projects they have completed this year are:
*Red Ribbon Week in October. They worked in the elementary and taught the students the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
*The SC also designs the bulletin board in the high school to motivate ASC students in their personal academic lives.
*In November, SC held a school wide food drive. The food was donated to the Mississippi Baptist Association and helped many families have a wonderful holiday.
*In January, the SC traveled to Jackson, MS to participate in the MAIS Student Council State Convention. There they heard candidate speeches, learned about the political process of government and met alot of new friends from other MAIS schools.
*In February, we will be having a drive to collect chapstick and lip balm for our soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan.
